We offer "Lease to Own" options on several of our domains. This allowing buyers to purchase a domain name over a set term by making installment payments. 

If a buyer fails to make the required payments, the Lease to Own agreement is terminated. 

Consequences of Default: The domain name reverts to the original seller. The buyer forfeits all payments made towards the domain. No refunds are available for payments made. 

Buyer's Options: Buyers can cancel the Lease to Own agreement at any time, but they will forfeit all payments made. Once the agreement is terminated, the domain is returned to the seller, and the buyer loses ownership. 

When selling a domain through Afternic using Fast Transfer, the ownership transfer to the buyer is typically instantaneous. In most cases, the system will complete all steps automatically, with minimal action required from either the buyer or the seller (except for sellers setting up a payee method if they don't have one yet). Where "Fast Transfer" is not utilized typically, the domain transfer process takes anywhere from 24 hours to 7 business days.
